Organized by the Kosovo Government PM’s Office and with the support of the European Committee in Kosova, on Wednesday 27 August 2008, in Grand Hotel in Prishtinë, starting at 8:30 a.m., the Conference entitled “Prevention of Financial Crime, Corruption and Money Laundry in Kosova” will be held.
The Government of the Republic of Kosovo, with the initiative of PM Thaçi, has created the Government Program for the prevention of informal economy in Kosova for the 2008-2009 period, with the assistance of the EU Project Team, responsible for the implementation of the project “Empowering the Kosovar Capacity to fight the Money Laundry and Corruption”.
The program represents the basis for the prevention of informal economy and corruption in Kosovo and is a clear signal for the citizens of Kosova and the international community that the Government of the Republic of Kosova is committed to fight the corruption, and other serious financial and economic crimes in general.
The main speech in the Conference “Prevention of Financial Crime, Corruption and Money Laundry in Kosova”, will be presented by the Kosovo Government Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi.
The Head of the European Committee Liaison Office, Mr. Renzo Daviddi will also address the audience with his speech.
The Minister of Economy and Finances, Ahmet Shala, Minister of Justice, Nekibe Kelmendi, Minister of Internal Affairs, Zenun Pajaziti and representatives of different authorities responsible for the implementation of the Government Program for the prevention of informal economy in Kosova will also address the audience.
