A part of discussion was also dedicated to the process of returns, namely the ways to coordinate action between the Government’s institutions and the UNHCR to implement the returns process.
Deputy Prime Minister Manaj reconfirmed the firm position of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo in supporting a sustainable returns process and pointed out concrete activities undertaken and funds allocated for its implementation.
The Deputy Minister of Local Government Administration, Mr. Raif Elezi, was also present in the meeting, and he presented details from the activities on the ground with regards to the implementation of the returns process and on the role of the Ministry in this process.
During this meeting, there was also discussion on logistical issues, namely the activities of stakeholders in the municipalities on drafting the strategy, contributions for establishing a database and the extension of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Kosovo and the UNHCR.
