The ninth anniversary of the Liberation Day 12 June finds our citizens on the verge of having the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo enter force.
The war of the Kosovo Liberation Army, the overall civil resistance, supported by the advanced democratic states and the NATO intervention, led to the victory and opening of a new perspective for Kosovo on 12 June 1999.
During these years, thanks to the support of the international community, Kosovo has gone through important political processes and has been building democratic institutions.
On 17 February 2008 the legitimate institutions of Kosovo crowned the political will of our people by declaring Kosovo an independent, democratic and sovereign state.
On the ninth anniversary of its liberation, Kosovo is an internationally recognized state by the most important diplomatic capitals of the world, and has a clear perspective to integrate in the Euro-Atlantic institutions.
