The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo Mr. Hashim Thaçi, at a meeting with a delegation of the Mitrovica based NGO “Bregu i Veriut” was informed of the concerns and problems of citizens displaced from the northern part of the city of Mitrovica.
The delegation from the NGO “Bregu i Veriut” informed Prime Minister Thaçi of the difficult socio-economic situation of the displaced citizens from the northern part of the city of Mitrovica as well as of their lack of access to their properties. The delegation urged the Government of Kosovo to use all legal means to support their return and to help the displaced citizens in the city of Mitrovica regain access to their properties.
Prime Minister Thaçi expressed his commitment and that of the Kosovo Government for the rule of law, freedom of movement and better living and business conditions for all citizens in Kosovo. “The Government of the Republic of Kosovo sees private property as sacrosanct and is determined to ensure property rights for all citizens in the territory of Kosovo”, Prime Minister Thaci said during the meeting.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo Mr. Hashim Thaçi concluded that the newly created reality in an independent Kosovo will offer new and equal opportunities for all the citizens of Kosovo so that they can build a free and a secure future.
