The nineteenth meeting of the Government of Kosovo held in the premises of the Istog Municipal Council, was headed by PM Hashim Thaçi. In the opening, the Prime Minister Thaçi stressed that the concept of organizing Government meetings in different municipal centers is a concept which brings the Government closer to the citizens.
In his entry speech, the PM Thaçi also stressed that the Serbian elections in Kosova will be ignored and of no value for the Government of Kosova or for any of the local or international institutions in Kosova.
PM Thaçi has also notified the Government cabinet that for the occasion of 9 May – The Day of Europe – the Government will organize activities to mark the date which will convey the vision of the Kosovo Government to be part of European integrations.
Judging that the Government commitment for development is spread in every corner of Kosova, PM Thaçi said that the determination of the Burim (Istog) municipality is seen by the very presence of the Government cabinet in this municipality. He invited the Mayor of Burim Municipality, Mr. Fadil Ferati, to present the priority projects of his municipality in front of the Government cabinet.
The Head of the Burim Municipality Fadil Ferati presented the projects of this municipality requiring support of the Kosovo Government for implementation. The Burim (Istog) Municipality projects Mayor Ferati summarized into projects of road infrastructure, water supply and sewage waters, as well as investments in building educational and health facilities.
The Minister of Transport and Post-Telecom Fatmir Limaj promised the support of projects for the road infrastructure, saying that the project for the asphalting of the Rakosh-Uçë-Sushicë road is an immediate necessity for the residents of this area.
Minister of Health Alush Gashi has presented the support of the project for the restoration of the Rehab Center “Banja e Pejës” as well as the construction of two health houses in the villages of this municipality.
Minister of Education, Science and Technology Enver Hoxhaj supported the projects for the construction, building and reconstruction of the three schools in this municipality. The Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, Mahir Jagcilar, expressed the support of his ministry for the project of water supply system in Bajë and the regulation of the Sushica river bed.
The Minister of Local Government Administration, Sadri Ferati has offered support for the construction of another building for the Local Office in this Municipality, whereas the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development Idriz Vehapi has presented a support for the rehabilitation of the Gurakoci dike which would enable the irrigation for the farmers in this area as well as the other project for the reforesting of the woods in the area.
The Minister of Communities and Returns Boban Stankovic has evaluated the good situation and the creation of conditions for the return of displaced people in this municipality. This was achieved thanks to the commitment of the municipal structures and the majority community in this municipality, said Minister Stankovic.
In today’s meeting the Minister of Economy and Finances Ahmet Shala has presented the first quarterly report of the year on the budgetary incomes and expenditures. This report will be passed on to the Kosovo Assembly.
The Government has approved another Memorandum of Understanding signed by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Economy and Finances for the utilization of the co-financing for health services. With this Memorandum the regulation of procedures of gather, collecting, depositing and harmonizing the personal incomes and the co-payments in the Consolidated Budget of Kosova is regulated as well as the manner of using means which are returned to the Ministry of Health.
The Government has approved the request of the Ministry of Health to redirect the financial means for the Kosova Dentistry Clinical Center. According to the request, the redirecting of the financial means in the value of 27.500 Euro will proceed from the economic category to the category of goods and services.
The Government has approved today three draft-laws: the Draft-law for the amendment of Law no. 02/L-43 for the proposed accreditation by the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI). The draft-law sets the policies and rules for the establishment and the functioning of the accreditation system of the conformity evaluation bodies.
The draft-law on weapons regulates the conditions on purchasing, owning, holding, producing, repairing, destroying and deactivating, intermediating, tracing and transporting arms for personal physical and judicial bodies within the territory of the Republic of Kosova, as well as for export, import and transit.
The draft law on Amending the Law on Tax Administration and Procedures 2004/48 from the Ministry of Economy and Finances (MEF) aims to facilitate the procedures for the tax payers, lower fines for tax breaches and harmonize the tax practices with the standards of the European Union in this field.
