In the opening of the meeting, Minister Rashic emphasised the importance of the manual as a basic document for realisation of return and thanked all the presents for their contribution.
Minister Rashic particularly stressed the importance of role of the United Kingdom and thanked the Ambassador Sparks for the contribution that his country has given and continues to give to the return proccess.
Further on, the Minister of the MCR said that in the future it shpuld be given more importnace to the consolidation of the communities as “ only a consolidated community can offer an easier and faster frame on return of the displaced people. In the end Mr. Rashic said that he hopes that in the future the cooperation netween the Ministry and relevant partners will be successful.
The Ambassador Sparks greeted the presents and said that the Embassy of the United Kingdom will support such projects and mentioned some points regarding to the compilation of the new manual. He particularly stressed that the old manual is based on UNMIK data wheras now we have a different reality and we need a new manual. The Ambassador proposed some issues which shouls be reviewed in the work of working group for the compilation of the new manual
The representatives of other partners that consist the Working Group appreciated this initiative and commited theirselves that will contribute in the compilation of the Manul.
