Departament of Social Statistics Goal The goal of the Department of Social Statistics (DSS) is to fulfill the requirements for statistical data by governmental and nongovernmental institutions in the social statistics area as well as to manage and develop a new, efficient and sustainable system.

The main purpose of DSS is to build an inclusive and sustainable social statistics system through three major courses:
Development of regular social statistics production,
Capacity building of knowledge and human resources,
Increasing the social statistics coordination degree in line with methods and standards of contemporary statistics.

Current situation and key related issues in DSS

The DSS consists of one Division and 5 Sectors, with a total number of 13 employees. In the middle term plan, the DSS needs to increase the number of staff as well as establish a Division (Standards of Living and Labour Market Division), aiming at promotion of the work efficiency regarding the managing aspect and the data productivity.
