Study visit in Sweden

From 16 – 27 of April, the Chief of Living Standard Section alongside Social Statistics Department (SSD) and two other representatives of Ministry of Finance and another representative of Ministry of Social Welfare, stayed in Stockholm – Sweden and also participated in the seminar “Statistics on Poverty Policies”. The seminar was organized by Sweden Statistics and supported by SIDA.

 

Aim of visit

Professional capacity building regarding identification of statistical needs inherent in policy and, access to challenge for reduction of poverty in the countries with the lowest incomes.

Theoretical part:

  • Reduction strategy and poverty measurement

  • Content of document of poverty reduction strategy
    (poverty assessment, purpose, objectives, priorities)
  • Social Welfare

  • Poverty indicators

  • Qualitative aspects of data and interpretation of problems

  • Index of living conditions

  • Poverty profiles

  • Activities of gender Statistics in the Balkan

Practical part:

  • Qualitative issues

  • Poverty profiles in concrete situations

  • Analyze of poverty indicators

  • Analyze of presentation in phase I with adoptions

  • Discussions on proposed projects for phase III
