Department of Agriculture and Environment Statistics In October 2000, in cooperation with the European Agency for Reconstruction (EAR), the “Agriculture Households Assessment” survey was conducted. The survey was conducted in the rural areas of Peja, Ferizaj, Mitrovica and Prizren. The purpose of the survey was to make an assessment of humanitarian assistance on agricultural assistance, stockbreeding, fertilizers, seeds etc .

The Statistical Office of Kosovo performed the computer analyses processing while the EAR carried out the publication work.
Agriculture statistics have also been made available by the LSMS (Living Standard Measurement Survey). The report: “Functioning of Agricultural Households in Kosovo determined according to LSMS” was published in April 2002.
The data collection of the Agriculture Households Survey (AHS 2001), in the first stage consisting of 1 400 farming households, was conducted in June 2001. A preliminary report on cultivated land was published on 27 September and another report on livestock was published on 15 November, 2001 . The second stage of the agriculture survey (harvesting) was conducted in November 2001.
