According to the results of the LBF 2009, there is an improvement of the employment and unemployment situation in Kosovo compared with 2008. Employment rate in 2008 was 24.1%, while in 2009 employment rate increased to 26.4%, or there is an increase for 2.3% compared with 2008. Unemployment rate in 2008 was 47.5%, while in 2009 the unemployment rate is at 45.4%, a drop by 2.1% compared with 2008.pdf. |

Analyzing the data for the period of 2002 - 2009, it can be notified that there is a permanent growth (increase) of export and import. Trade deficit in 2009 was 1,770,2 million Euros which reflects a negative balance also in this year. The total of export in 2009 was 165,3 million euros, whilst the import was 1,935,5 million euros, the export covers the import 8.5%.pdf. |

The import price index in Kosovo increased by 1,5% between the Q4 of 2009 and the Q1 of 2009. Compared to the Q1 of 2009 the import prices increased by on average 2,1%.pdf. |

In the first quarter 2010 the index for Animal Output has decreased with -11.0 % compared to the same period 2009. The index for Crop Output has decreased with -12.3 % between first quarter 2010 and first quarter 2009.Total Output Index has also decreased during the period with -11.7 %. pdf. |

The producer price index in Kosovo decreased by 0,1 % between the Q4 of 2009 and Q1 of 2010. Compared to the Q1 of 2009 the producer prices increased by an average of 5.0 %. pdf. |
